What are Botox,® Dysport,® and Xeomin?®
Botox,® Dysport,® and Xeomin® are all made from purified forms of botulinum toxin. They block nerve signals that contract muscles. When they’re injected into muscles, the muscles relax, which eliminates or significantly diminishes wrinkles.
Botox® and Dysport® (onabotulinumtoxinA) target one of the underlying causes of frown lines and crow’s feet—the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. Botox® and Dysport® temporarily reduce this muscle activity so you’ll begin to notice a visible smoothing of these lines.
What types of wrinkles are treated with Botox,® Dysport,® and Xeomin?®
These injectables treat wrinkles caused by the repetitive use of muscles, called dynamic wrinkles, including:
- Crow’s feet
- Frown lines
- Forehead furrows
- Bunny lines on the upper nose
- Neck bands
Jawline Slimming
Botox,® Dysport® or Xeomin® injections in your masseter muscles and platysma can slim your face and jawline and help alleviate pain associated with clenching or grinding of your teeth.
Gummy Smile Correction

Chin (mentalis muscles)

The chin muscles or “mentalis muscles” elevate the base of the lower lip and wrinkles the skin of the chin. Its strength can cause an “orange peel” looking chin with dimpling or a “witchy” chin as it is pulled upward more and more with age. This also can make the chin crease deeper. Botox, Dysport or Xeomin can all be used off label to weaken these muscles, creating a much softer appearance of the chin. Neurotoxin can be used to treat wrinkling, creasing and other conditions affecting the chin. It works by relaxing the chin muscles, which allows the overlying skin to smoothen. In some extreme cases, Botox injections can be supplemented with chin fillers.
Baby (Preventative) Botox
Baby Botox is the use of neurotoxin in smaller doses than normal. It may be best suited for people who have lighter lines that aren’t etched in or younger patients who simply want to get a head start on aging by preventing lines from deepening. Due to the smaller injection amount, facial movement is retained, and you’re left with a natural appearance as wrinkles are being prevented.

If you are bothered by excessive sweating in the underarm region, we can treat it using neurotoxin! It works by temporarily blocking the chemicals that signal your glands to produce sweat. It also doesn’t affect touch or sensation in the region.
